US-based software provider Oracle has announced that Slovenia’s SID Bank has become the first bank in the country to adopt its Flexcube core banking solution. SID Bank, a promotional development bank and export credit agency, has signed a deal with Oracle to implement core banking, payments, trade finance, treasury, and corporate lending applications. The bank’s move to upgrade its banking technology comes as it seeks to enhance Slovenia’s international business competitiveness. SID Bank has recently been named as a direct implementing partner of EU centralised financial instruments and secured major financing deals with the European Investment Fund and the German development bank KfW. The partnership with Oracle will help SID Bank meet growing demands for more powerful banking technology in the industry.
