Science Card, a UK neobank, has partnered with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University College London (UCL) to address a funding gap in neurodegenerative disease research. The collaboration will integrate a funding model within Science Card’s platform, enabling users to support research projects through their everyday spending. Specifically, the partnership will focus on areas such as healthcare, climate change, and computing. Science Card aims to launch its platform in early 2024 and expand to Europe and the US, with a target of reaching over two million customers and funding millions in scientific research by 2028. The neobank has committed to supporting UCL’s research project with a funding target of £499,955.
