MSG Entertainment has announced the appointment of Michael Grau as Executive VP, Finance & CFO. In his new role, Grau will be responsible for overseeing the financial matters of the live entertainment company. Effective from February 12, Grau will join the business as executive VP, finance, and after a transition period, will assume the responsibilities of CFO from April 1.

Grau will work closely with MSG Entertainment’s executive management team to support the long-term direction of the company. He will report to MSG Entertainment’s executive chairman and CEO, James L. Dolan. His primary responsibilities will include providing strategic financial insight on all facets of the business, as well as dealing with financial planning and analysis, controllership, treasury, investor relations, tax, and procurement functions.

Grau joins MSG Entertainment from Altice USA, a publicly-traded cable communications company, where he served as CFO. He took on the role in 2019 after a nearly 20-year career at Cablevision Systems Corporation, which was acquired by Altice in 2016. At Cablevision, he was also a key member of the finance team.

James L. Dolan, executive chairman and CEO of MSG Entertainment, expressed his pleasure at welcoming Grau to the company, citing his significant financial and operating experience. Grau also expressed his excitement at the opportunity to leverage his experience in the live entertainment industry and contribute to MSG Entertainment’s success.

MSG Entertainment’s portfolio includes New York’s Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, The Chicago Theatre, and the production, the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes. The company recently completed a spin-off that separated the live music business from its state-of-the-art venue in Las Vegas, sports television network, and hospitality businesses.
