Barclays pioneers a powerful team in energy transition investment banking.

Barclays has launched a new Energy Transition Group within its Corporate and Investment Bank to advise clients on energy transition opportunities and support them on the path to net-zero emissions. The team will specialize in various areas of energy transition, including hydrogen, carbon capture, renewables, nature-based solutions, and energy transition finance. The group will be led by Mike Cormier, who previously led Barclays’ Energy business in the Americas. Barclays aims to facilitate $1 trillion of sustainable and transition financing between 2023 and 2030.
